Medical Advisory Board

Kathy is currently an independent clinical consultant and board advisor for healthcare companies.  

She retired from HealthTrust in 2020 where she served as Vice President of the Supply Chain Board. In this role she led all Supply Chain Board activities including planning and facilitating all board events. She moderated board discussions and guided board actions with respect to organizational goals and objectives. She also maintained oversight for GPO operational activities, including contract communications, contract management systems, sustainability and Supplier Diversity.

Prior to this Kathy held positions with HCA on the Corporate Supply Chain Management team. In her role as Assistant Vice President, she maintained overall responsibility for the development and administration of supply expense initiatives throughout HCA and client facilities. Partnering with the Health Trust contracting team, internal stakeholders, and vendors to explore options and develop strategy, she facilitated the planning, coordination, and communication of supply expense management initiatives within the Supply Chain and hospitals. She worked to redesign the Supply Expense Management website to provide enhanced tools and reports.

Kathy was an active participant in the development of the HealthTrust consulting program, including client assessment and engagement process.          

In her prior HCA role as Director of Surgery Supply Expense Management Kathy was responsible for the identification, communication, and coordination of supply cost initiatives within the surgical services category.  She successfully managed a complete HCA custom pack conversion and standardization.

Prior to working in Supply Chain Kathy was a Sales Representative for SRI Surgical Express. In this role she successfully re-introduced and sold reusable surgical linens in the state of Florida.  Kathy started at SRI as a clinical consultant where she supported the sales teamworking onsite with customers to educate and facilitate the sales and implementation activities.  

Kathy is an RN with an extensive background in surgery and surgery administration.  These roles included Director of Surgery for HCA Northwest Regional Medical Center in Margate Florida, a facility in which she actively participated in the clinical planning, building, and opening of.  She also held the position of Surgery Administrator at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  

Kathy has actively participated in the development of clinical educational meetings for physicians and clinicians, and she has served on several panel discussions throughout her career related to diversity, sustainability and clinical products.
